Jennifer Lawrence has revealed why she asked Robert De Niro to leave her October 2019 wedding to Cooke Maroney.

Speaking to E! News, the 33-year-old actress revealed that her wedding became very "stressful" due to the weather conditions, leaving the star worried about her guests. “It’s so stressful,” she recalled, adding that she had absolutely no fun and was “horrible” being a bride.

“I will never forget how worried I was about the guests being cold,” she admitted. "And all my friends lied and said, 'We're not cold, nobody's cold, everything's fine, everything's fine.' However, Lawrence's mother, Karen, disagreed. “My mom said, 'It's cold out there, your grandma almost died,'” she explained.

Lawrence and Maroney hosted their wedding reception for their 150 guests at Newport's Belcourt, a beautiful and luxurious mansion in Rhode Island. Lawrence became particularly concerned about De Niro's well-being during her rehearsal dinner. “I looked around and saw Bob wandering around, not knowing anyone, and I immediately thought, 'No, this is not what he wants to do.' I don’t want him here,” said the Oscar-winning actress. “So I walked over and whispered, 'Go home'... He seemed to be talking to my parents and was polite, but I said, 'Go away.' After he left, she “really” felt “better.”
