Emmanuel Tjeknavorian appointed new music director of the Milan Symphony Orchestra

Emmanuel Tjeknavorian was appointed a new music director of the Milan Symphony Orchestra. This was announced on the orchestra's Facebook page. Emmanuel is the son of the famous composer and conductor Loris Tjeknavorian.

Renowned violinist, conductor Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, 28, was born in Austria. Despite his young age, he has already achieved impressive success.

In 2012, he represented Austria in the Eurovision Young Musicians.

In September 2014, Tjeknavorian became the first Austrian to make it to the final round in the history of the Fritz Kreisler Competition, winning the third place. In November 2014, he received the Casinos Austria Rising Star Award.

As it is reported on the orchestra’s Facebook, on Thursday, January 25 at 11 am at the Milan Auditorium there will be a Press Conference for the introduction of the newly appointed Musical Director of the Milan Symphony Orchestra, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian.

Institutional greetings will be followed by a dialogue between M° Tjeknavorian and journalist and television broadcaster Massimo Bernardini.
