Lionsgate has high expectations for its upcoming Michael Jackson biopic, Michael, starring the late King of Pop's nephew, Jafar Jackson.
"I think this will be the biggest movie we've ever had," Lionsgate president of worldwide distribution Jim Packer said at the Gabelli Media & Entertainment Symposium, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
In his words, the excitement around the upcoming movie directed by Antoine Fuqua is very high. The expected premiere date is April 18, 2025. "The hype is crazy," Packer said of the film.
The movie's trailer received a strong reaction at CinemaCon in Las Vegas in April, Variety reports.
