Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck weren't happy in their $61M home, source says

16:18, June 13

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have put up for sale the Beverly Hills mansion they have lived in together since June 2023. According to a source, neither of them was happy in this $61 million home.

“Ben never liked this house. It’s too far away from his kids,” the source told PEOPLE. As for the singer and actress, “the house is too big for her.”

Representatives for Affleck and Lopez have not commented on reports that they are selling their home, which TMZ first reported on June 8.

The couple purchased the mansion for $61 million back in the spring of 2023 after getting married in July 2022, according to The Wall Street Journal. The 38,000-square-foot home sits on five acres of land. The mansion has "12 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms, a 12-car garage and a swimming pool, as well as a sports complex with basketball and pickleball courts, a gym and a boxing ring."

In May, sources had told PEOPLE that Affleck was living in a rented home a few miles from the Beverly Hills mansion while shooting his movie The Accountant 2. Lopez lived in their family home amid rumors of a rift in their relationship.

Lopez and Affleck were last seen together at a basketball game of Affleck's 12-year-old son, Samuel.

“They are still friendly and see each other every few days,” a source close to Lopez said.
