The lengths people will go to for internet fame. Brazilian model Debora Peixoto has gone viral after applying her own poop to her face, claiming this “mask” has “anti-aging benefits.”

Posting the video on Instagram, Debora wrote: "The craziest thing I've ever done was smear my poop all over my face. I saw some research on it and decided to try it! It worked for me, my skin stopped peeling!"

The model claims that using poop as a face mask helps with anti-aging. The video shows her taking a small jar out of the fridge and applying the contents to her face using a small spoon. She then places a clip over her nose to get rid of the smell. She later rinsed this “mask” off with face wash. The video shows also a man in the background who appears to be disgusted by this process.

Doctors strongly advise against applying feces to your face—for any reason.

Dermatologist Sophie Momen told the New York Post that of all the skin care "trends," this is one of the weirdest. "There is absolutely no benefit to your skin from using feces as a face mask." Momen said this “mask” could cause food poisoning and even viral infections. Also, your skin could break out in a rash.

"Feces contains a variety of bacteria, viruses, and parasites, including E. coli, salmonella, and helminths, which can cause serious infections and illnesses," said plastic surgeon Tunc Tiriyaki.
