Tsaghkunk Restaurant & Glkhatun becomes the first Armenian restaurant honored with La LISTE’s prestigious DISCOVERY AWARD 2025

22:31, November 25

In a groundbreaking achievement for Armenian gastronomy, Tsaghkunk Restaurant & Glkhatun has been honoured with the prestigious DISCOVERY AWARD 2025 by La LISTE, marking a historic moment for the country’s culinary world. The award was presented today at a celebrated ceremony in Paris, firmly placing Armenia on the global culinary map.

La LISTE, based in France, is renowned as one of the world’s most esteemed global guides for restaurants and hotels. Often referred to as “the ranking of rankings,” La LISTE is an independent restaurant ranking platform founded in 2015. Its methodology condenses the opinions of fine dining guides, respected critics, bloggers, and consumer review sites, integrating nearly 1,100 international sources through a sophisticated algorithm. These sources range from ratings in well-known restaurant guides to reviews from international, national, and regional press, as well as customer feedback.

The Discovery Awards celebrate establishments and individuals worldwide who exemplify uniqueness, authenticity, innovation, and craftsmanship in the realms of cuisine and hospitality.

Established in 2021, Tsaghkunk Restaurant & Glkhatun has distinguished itself through its innovative approach to Armenian cuisine, masterfully blending tradition with contemporary culinary techniques under the guidance of Head Chef Arevik Martirosyan.

“This recognition by La LISTE is not only a tremendous honor for our team but also a significant milestone for Armenia,” said Hrachya Aghajanyan, founder of Tsaghkunk Restaurant & Glkhatun. “It is a privilege to share the beauty and flavors of our country with the world.”

Each year, La LISTE unites the global gastronomic community to reveal rankings and announce its Special Awards. The 9th edition of La LISTE’s Gala Evening took place in Paris on November 25, bringing together legendary chefs, national culinary heroes, emerging talents, and distinguished guests. The evening’s menu was crafted by world-renowned chefs, making it an unforgettable celebration of brilliance, innovation, and dedication that define the art of haute cuisine.
