Legendary Hollywood star Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy Arakawa were found dead in their Santa Fe home, the Daily Mail reports.

The couple were found with their dog. Local media reported that police do not believe foul play was involved in their deaths.

Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza has not released a cause of death.

The couple tied the knot in 1991 after moving to their New Mexico home in 1990. They reportedly began dating in the mid-80s after meeting at a gym in California.

Hackman later claimed that their relationship began after his divorce from his first wife Faye Maltese, to whom he was married from 1956 to 1986. The couple loved German Shepherds, at one point owning three dogs. Their current pet dog was also found dead next to them.
