Telegram founder Pavel Durov has reportedly purchased a role in a Hollywood film for his partner, Yulia Vavilova, for $400,000. According to Spletnik, Durov secured the role during the amfAR charity gala, held as part of the 78th Cannes Film Festival.

The billionaire and the 24-year-old blogger made their public debut as a couple at the prestigious event, walking the red carpet together for the first time.

Vavilova later posted a video on Instagram capturing the final moments of the auction. Seated beside Durov, she reaches for his hand just as the auctioneer brings down the gavel. Durov clasps her hand and embraces her as she smiles. "The best night of my life," she wrote in the caption.

While the specific film project has not been revealed, it is already known that acclaimed director Spike Lee will be at the helm. Lee, who appeared briefly in the background of Vavilova’s video, is best known for films like Inside Man and the Hollywood remake of the Korean cult classic Oldboy.

Durov’s appearance with Vavilova marked a rare public moment for the notoriously private tech mogul. Telegram channels noted that Vavilova is the first known partner with whom Durov has appeared publicly, suggesting a significant step in their relationship.

The couple has reportedly been together for about a year. Vavilova previously shared that she was pregnant with Durov’s child but tragically suffered a miscarriage, which she attributed to stress caused by their detention at a Paris airport amid an investigation related to Telegram.
