100,000-balloon Christmas Tree breaks records in England, supports charity
A massive 25-foot (≈7.6 meters) Christmas tree made entirely of 100,000 balloons has appeared in England, delighting locals and raising funds for charity.
The balloon tree is installed outside the Moor Hall Hotel and Spa in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, with the dual purpose of spreading festive cheer and supporting good causes.
Encased under a transparent dome to prevent the balloons from popping, the installation took five days to assemble, with a team of 20 people working on it.
Naomi Spencer, a balloon artist and owner of Balloon Color Blending studio, conceived the idea and personally oversaw the project—a true labor of love and patience.
Visitors can sponsor individual balloons for $3.30, purchase a commemorative balloon for $13.19, or opt for a branded balloon at $165, contributing to charity initiatives.
“This has never been done in the UK before. People don’t realize the scale of work involved in creating a balloon Christmas tree,” Spencer told Birmingham Mail.
Photos shared on the official Facebook page have already attracted widespread attention, with users calling the installation “stunning” and “truly magical.”
