At LVMH Watch Week 2026, BVLGARI once again proves that gold is not just a metal, but a language through which the Maison speaks to history. This year, the brand returns deeply to its roots to reinterpret two legendary symbols — the ancient Monete and the iconic Tubogas. The result is both modern and antique: gold watches where the architecture of ancient Rome meets the precision of Swiss watchmaking, writes Hypebeast.

Maglia Milanese Monete Secret Watch: Rome in Miniature

The Maglia Milanese Monete Secret Watch is a true portrait of the Eternal City on the wrist. At its center is an authentic silver coin from 198–297 AD featuring the image of Emperor Caracalla. But BVLGARI turns it not into a museum exhibit, but into a living piece of jewelry: the coin is hidden under a pink gold cover set with diamonds, and the case is crafted in a geometric octagonal shape — as if ancient Roman architecture came alive in modern design.

The first surprise is the Milanese mesh bracelet, appearing in this version for the first time at the Maison. This exquisite structure, dating back to the Renaissance, creates an incredibly soft and flexible feel on the skin, as if the watch “embraces” the wrist.

And finally, the hidden mechanism: beneath the coin cover lies a miniature dial made of white mother-of-pearl with 12 diamond indices. Inside is a true engineering marvel: the smallest round mechanical micromechanism, the Piccolissimo BVP100, with a diameter of only 13.5 mm and a weight of 1.9 grams. The movement is now visible for the first time through a transparent case back, and its power reserve is 30 hours.

Tubogas Manchette: 1970s Glamour in a Gold Cuff

If the Maglia Milanese Monete represents Roman classicism, the Tubogas Manchette is an explosion of energy and 1970s glamour. BVLGARI brings back the iconic Tubogas in the form of a wide cuff that looks like jewelry designed for nightlife and high-society events.

The single-loop bracelet in yellow gold echoes the bold geometry of the 1974 archival model. It is set with nearly 12 carats of diamonds and decorated with multicolored gemstones: citrines, rubellites, amethysts, topazes and peridots. Each link is individually crafted, polished and assembled on a flexible titanium frame — so that the cuff remains smooth while preserving the signature “liquid” architecture of Tubogas.

At the center is a square 16mm yellow gold case with a diamond pavé dial. Inside is the automatic Lady Solotempo BVS100 movement, which, with a diameter of 19 mm and a thickness of 3.9 mm, provides an impressive 50-hour power reserve.

The rotor, visible through the sapphire case back, is decorated with the BVLGARI logo and a sunburst pattern — a reminder that the Maison masters both jewelry and watchmaking craftsmanship equally.
