A 21-year-old fashion model was arrested in Manhattan for allegedly stealing over $1 million worth of designer merchandise from an upscale SoHo boutique, only to be released under supervision without bail.

According to police, the incident occurred on December 1 at the 4Gseller store on Spring Street. Surveillance footage shows four masked intruders breaking into the boutique and making off with 20 Saint Laurent jackets, 30 handbags, 20 belts, and other luxury items.

The model, Abdallah Diaby, was identified through security cameras, while the other three suspects remain at large.

“Like a Movie”

In a post-heist interview, 4Gseller owner Tommy Macari described the thieves as highly prepared: they wore construction vests and headlamps, while a lookout and getaway driver waited outside.

“Honestly, it was like something out of a movie,” Macari said. “They took a lot of one-of-a-kind high-end pieces, from Chrome Hearts to Saint Laurent. They were just dropping items off the balcony while someone ran them to the car.”

The entire heist lasted only four and a half minutes, and the NYPD arrived 91 seconds later.

According to the criminal complaint, the burglary began around 4:10 a.m., when a silver Ford SUV pulled up. Three men in black clothing and construction vests climbed scaffolding to enter the store.

Diaby, who grew up in the Bronx, is no stranger to cameras—he is represented by TWO MGMT, an agency handling high-end ad campaigns and catalog work.

In court on Thursday, Diaby faced charges of grand larceny, burglary, and criminal possession of stolen property, and was released under supervision but without bail. At the hearing, he wore designer sneakers valued at up to $300 on the resale market. His lawyer noted that he voluntarily returned from California, where he had been modeling, to surrender to authorities.
