Charm Daze, a San Diego-based stripper with 900,000 social media followers, recently shared a candid video about a wave of “depressed” military personnel visiting local clubs before upcoming deployments.
“I noticed the service members coming in and spending all their money,” Daze said. “They seem really down… They say, ‘Yeah, we’re here to have fun,’ but you can tell something is off. Then they add, ‘We’re deploying next week.’”
Daze, who performs at clubs across the country, noted that the soldiers she encounters are surprisingly young — so much so that she referred to them as “embryos.” “Many of them are incredibly kind, and seeing these young guys come in, have fun, and say goodbye… it really hits me emotionally,” she admitted.
The entertainer added that the interactions have begun taking a toll on her own emotional well-being. “It’s… really tough,” she said.
The video quickly went viral, drawing a mix of reactions. Some viewers empathized with the human side of soldiers preparing for deployment amid rising tensions with Iran.
However, others raised concerns that some troops may be compromising operational security (OPSEC) by revealing personal details in search of attention or comfort during these encounters.
