On April 25, the Grand Hall named after Aram Khachaturian hosted the  concert of legendary jazz musician Gary Kesayan, titled “60 Years on Stage.” The musical evening took place within the framework of the  project «Jazz for Peace» and became a vibrant cultural event.

The concert brought together outstanding representatives of the global jazz scene on one stage. The program featured jazz vocalist Ellen Stepter, trumpeter and vocalist Johnny Britt, saxophonist Louis Van Taylor, double bassist Carl Vincent, and drummer Don Littleton. Together with the maestro, they presented a rich and multifaceted program that united different eras and styles of jazz music.

During the evening, the audience enjoyed both world-famous jazz and blues compositions that have become genre classics, as well as original works by Gary Kesayan — a composer, pianist, and one of the key figures of the contemporary jazz scene.

The concert’s humanitarian mission gave it special significance. The «Jazz for Peace» project aims to promote the ideas of peace, love, and mutual understanding through the language of music. The event brought together representatives of government institutions, the diplomatic corps, business circles, and the wider public, serving as a platform for cultural dialogue and international cooperation.

The evening gained particular emotional depth through the words of maestro Gary Kesayan, reflecting his artistic philosophy and his connection with the audience:

“My music is about peace, love, and mutual understanding. I am deeply grateful to my audience, who inspire me with their kindness and energy. I also sincerely thank my sponsors, who value and support my art.”
These heartfelt words became the leitmotif of the entire concert, highlighting not only the high artistic level of the program but also the profound humanitarian mission of the project. The atmosphere of unity, mutual respect, and spiritual closeness in the hall once again confirmed that maestro Kesayan’s music is not just art, but a living dialogue with the audience, filled with light and meaning.
