The project—already dubbed the “Swatch AP collab”—is being described as one of the most talked-about releases of the year, with the potential to replicate the chaos of the MoonSwatch phenomenon.

It all began with mysterious teasers and subtle advertising hints appearing across media outlets, including The Guardian. Unusual visual cues and Swatch Group’s signature aesthetic immediately triggered speculation among collectors. Many were quick to recall the launch of MoonSwatch, which once sparked worldwide queues and ignited a booming resale market.

This time, however, the rumors are even louder. The alleged collaboration is said to involve Audemars Piguet—a brand synonymous with ultra-luxury timepieces and its iconic Royal Oak model.

While no official confirmation has been made, a mid-May announcement is widely speculated. Until then, anticipation continues to build, fueled by constant discussion across social media and collector forums.
