Kylie Jenner has found herself at the center of a major legal scandal. The celebrity’s former personal chef has filed a lawsuit against her, alleging that a grueling schedule and excessive workload led to her suffering a miscarriage.
According to court documents obtained by The Los Angeles Times, the woman (whose name is currently being withheld) worked 11 to 12 hours a day, five days a week. The plaintiff claims she was forced to perform strenuous physical labor despite having previously notified management of her high-risk pregnancy.
The woman was hired by Jenner in November 2024. The following month, she informed her managers—who are also named as defendants in the lawsuit—that she was three months pregnant and required "reasonable accommodations to protect her health."
However, her requests were allegedly ignored. On New Year’s Eve 2024, management reportedly ordered her to "manually carry heavy boxes of groceries across the street and lift them up a hill without any assistance." The chef experienced dizziness and shortness of breath, requiring security staff to administer first aid and give her water.
The next incident occurred around February 1 at a children's party hosted by Jenner in Palm Springs. The chef was reportedly denied any assistants, despite the massive volume of work required for the event. "Due to exhaustion and unbearable physical strain, she suffered an emotional breakdown right in the bathroom during the event. That evening, she felt extreme fatigue and a heaviness throughout her entire body," the lawsuit states.
The following morning, the woman began bleeding heavily. At a nearby hospital, doctors confirmed that there was no fetal heartbeat—she had lost the baby.
A few days after notifying management of her miscarriage, the woman was allegedly "falsely accused of leaving the kitchen and refrigerator in a mess" following the Palm Springs event.
On February 8, she suffered a second round of severe bleeding, which plunged her into a deep depression. However, instead of offering support, one manager reportedly snapped at her, saying: "Stop it, just stop it. You're upsetting Kylie. You're causing her to get depressed."
The former chef is now seeking unspecified financial damages.
For the 28-year-old Kylie Cosmetics founder, this legal battle marks the third lawsuit brought against her by former staff members since the start of 2026.
In April 2026, former housekeeper Angelica Vasquez sued Jenner, alleging wrongful termination and discrimination based on religion and national origin by management. Vasquez, a Catholic woman of Salvadoran descent, claimed she was publicly humiliated, given the dirtiest tasks, and left with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
That same month, another former housekeeper, Juana Delgado Soto, filed a similar lawsuit. She claimed she attempted to personally ask Kylie Jenner for help regarding bullying by managers, but was threatened with termination and banned from ever contacting the star again.
While the allegations in the first two cases primarily target hired management, Kylie Jenner is named as a principal defendant across all lawsuits as the business owner who allegedly ignored her employees' complaints regarding intolerable working conditions.
