At MetLife Stadium, golden hour arrived earlier than usual. During the first-ever grand halftime show in FIFA World Cup Final history, Shakira took the field radiant in warm sunset hues and more than 200,000 Swarovski crystals.

The Colombian superstar performed the tournament's anthem, "Dai Dai," alongside Burna Boy, wearing a custom outfit created by Creative Director Fausto Puglisi for the Roberto Cavalli fashion house.

The daring, side-slashed, lace-up bodysuit was paired with a long skirt made of flowing ribbons of vibrant pink and yellow chiffon that swayed dramatically with every shake of the singer's hips.

According to Swarovski, master artisans spent 120 hours of continuous handiwork over two weeks to embroider the two hundred thousand crystals.

The singer’s attire was a direct nod to her iconic looks from the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, where she performed the anthem "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)." Back then, both of her stage costumes—a neon silk-fringe top for the closing ceremony and an ethnic ensemble for the opening—were designed by the brand's founder himself, Roberto Cavalli (who passed away in April 2024).

True to form, the singer performed most of her set barefoot. Toward the finale, during a performance with the PS22 Children's Choir, she slipped on matching ankle boots and gold Swarovski sunglasses.
Her entire 34-member dance troupe was also outfitted by Roberto Cavalli, mirroring the sunset-inspired color palette.
