At 43 years old, Lara Trump recently sent social media into a frenzy by showing off her sculpted, rock-solid arms and toned abs. Now, she has officially broken down the secrets behind her diet and workout routine that helped her achieve such an impressive physique.
Lara shared her fitness tips during an appearance on The Riley Gaines Show. Host Riley Gaines admitted that asking how the mother of two manages to stay in such enviable shape was by far the most requested question from viewers ahead of the interview.

“I do a little bit of everything,” Lara admitted, adding that she is thrilled to see more people taking an interest in fitness and a healthy lifestyle. “I’ve worked out my whole life and always found the time—even if it’s just 30 or 45 minutes. Sometimes that’s all I can squeeze in, so I make sure to get it done early in the morning,” she shared, noting that exercising provides a massive boost not just physically, but mentally as well.
Lara strongly believes that the key to success is constantly switching up her training regimen:
CrossFit & Strength Training: She loves lifting weights to build lean muscle mass.
Cardio & Triathlons: To prepare for endurance sports, she spends plenty of time cycling and running when possible.
Pilates: She fits in Pilates sessions whenever her schedule allows
“The main thing is to keep your body guessing, constantly surprise it,” Lara advises. “I try to work out first thing in the morning so I don't have to think about it for the rest of the day.”

While she typically wakes up at 5:00 AM, she revealed that she has set her alarm as early as 3:45 AM just to squeeze in a workout before an early morning flight.

Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law confessed that maintaining a clean diet can be tough with a hectic travel schedule, but she follows one golden rule: prioritize protein. “I used to skip breakfast, but now I literally force myself to eat egg whites or whole eggs in the morning. Sometimes I’ll make a protein shake—it gives you the right start to the day. The more muscle you have and the more protein in your diet, the more calories your body burns at rest. Focus on protein and pick up those weights—that's what will truly transform your body!”
Beyond exercise and nutrition, Lara and her husband, Eric Trump, are huge advocates of saunas and contrast therapy, regularly practicing ice baths and cold plunges.

According to Lara, cold exposure is primarily a mental test: “If I can force myself to stay in freezing water while my body is screaming at me to get out, then I can force myself to push through any challenge in life. The benefits of these practices go far beyond just physical health.”
