35-year-old Tom Christopher hauled a heavy bathtub to the highest peak in South Wales to film a viral video, sparking public outrage over fly-tipping in a protected national park.

The content creator aimed to shoot a "funny and cool video" of himself taking a bath on top of Pen y Fan (elevated at roughly 886 meters) during sunset while attempting to break a world record.
Christopher's ambitious stunt quickly ran into harsh reality:
To fill the bathtub, the blogger posted signs at the foot of the mountain asking passing hikers to carry bottles of river water up the trail.
Just 24 hours later, the bathtub was discovered by members of the Cardiff Rugby Academy during a volunteer exercise. Viewing the fixture as abandoned trash, the athletes carried the heavy object back down the mountain, calling the blogger's stunt "reckless."
Rangers from the National Trust subsequently disposed of the bathtub.

Although the blogger's video racked up over 200,000 views in just four hours, social media users slammed him for littering in a protected conservation area. In Wales, fly-tipping fines can reach up to £1,000, with potential increases up to £5,000 for serious offenses.
Tom Christopher has since issued an apology: "Carrying it up was a complete nightmare—it felt like it weighed a ton. I honestly planned to go back and retrieve it after 48 hours. In hindsight, I should have at least left a note explaining the situation. But I'm glad to see people protecting our national parks so fiercely."
