Infusing young blood in the pursuit of eternal youth may sound like the plot of a horror movie — but for youth-obsessed elites determined to stop the clock, it is a harsh reality.

Inside luxury wellness clinics, aging CEOs and tech moguls are injecting biological fluids into their genitals, convinced that they hold the secret to longevity — or at least to better-looking skin, according to The Sun.

The procedure involves completely removing a patient’s plasma and replacing it with up to three liters of fresh fluid collected from young elite college athletes across the United States.

The controversial treatment has not been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration, and only one blood bank in the world is licensed to sell plasma from people aged 18 to 25. Health authorities say there is “no evidence” that the therapy is effective.

Nevertheless, websites offering young-plasma transfusions are filled with promises of “miraculous” transformations.

The “Gold Standard” of Physiology and the Hunt for Donors

Texas wellness clinic Apeiron lures clients with hypnotic videos showing sunlight streaming through desert canyons.

“Growing older doesn’t have to be a slow and painful process of decline,” its website assures visitors.

It claims that you can still maintain “mental clarity” and “enjoy a new chapter of your life” with the help of young donors eager to earn extra money who have undergone rigorous health and fitness screening.

Dr. Phillip Gallegos of Texas-based Thrive Medicine said the procedure is intended for “people who want to think like James Bond in business, then have amazing sex, and afterward go work out.”

He told The Sun that Spectrum Plasma, the world’s only licensed blood bank of its kind, puts young donors through “a real barrage of tests” before allowing them to donate.

“They collect plasma from college students,” Dr. Gallegos explained. “They specifically look for athletes. They want the highest-quality donor. You don’t want to get defective plasma.”

The doctor, who has undergone the procedure himself, compared plasma replacement to a “system upgrade” for the body.

“Imagine your body is a high-performance car. After decades on the road, the motor oil — your blood plasma — breaks down. It becomes clogged with ‘sludge,’ inflammatory toxins, cellular debris and signals that tell the body to deteriorate rather than repair itself.”

Young-plasma therapy, he claims, flushes out the old, toxin-laden “junk” and replaces it with fresh blood free of cellular waste.

Injections Into Intimate Areas and Exosomes

According to Dr. Rhett Langley of Thrive Medicine, patients undergo a microneedling procedure across their bodies.

“We apply it [the plasma] all over the body. We even inject it into the genitals.”

Young plasma contains trillions of rejuvenating exosomes — microscopic vesicles that act as messengers between cells. Experts say they play a critical role in reversing the aging process by stimulating cells to rejuvenate.

Older plasma contains fewer exosomes, meaning cells do not repair and renew themselves as quickly. But in this “vampire” exchange, proponents claim, exosomes obtained from young donors send cells in a 70-year-old person a signal that they are much younger, prompting them to regenerate more actively.

At least, that is what supporters of the method claim.

The ages between 18 and 25 represent the “golden age of human physiology,” according to Dr. Dan Steidler, co-founder of Apeiron.

Cash-strapped college students can donate blood — plasma is extracted while the remaining components are returned to their bodies — and receive $100 per donation.

Prices and Celebrity Experiments

Meanwhile, aging tycoons are reportedly paying between $30,000 and $50,000 for a single injection, with a course lasting around four months. Some clients at Thrive Medicine undergo as many as five treatments a year, bringing the annual cost to as much as $250,000.

One 75-year-old real-estate mogul told Dr. Gallegos that, of all the biohacking techniques he had tried, “the effect of young plasma was the most noticeable.”

In 2023, controversial tech entrepreneur and biohacker Bryan Johnson had a liter of plasma from his 17-year-old son transfused into his body in an attempt to reverse aging. He later abandoned the practice, writing on X in 2025: “I no longer infuse my son’s blood.”

Science or Fiction?

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has not approved the use of young plasma for anti-aging purposes, while the use of fresh-frozen plasma for such purposes remains unregulated.

“We do not have data supporting the effectiveness of such use,” the agency said in an official notice.

Doctors are relying almost entirely on anecdotal evidence. Dr. Gallegos said that a private driver who transports ultra-wealthy clients from the airport to the clinic and back once remarked: “I have no idea what you do with them in there, but these people walk out of the clinic completely different.”

Another doctor candidly acknowledged: “There simply isn’t enough large-scale scientific research.”

Testing has been conducted only in rats, while no clinical trial involving humans has been completed.

Nevertheless, doctors continue to believe in the “natural” nature of the treatment.

Apeiron and Thrive are based in Texas for a reason: the state is home to the world’s only blood bank that collects plasma from donors aged 18 to 25.

“People come to us from Europe, from all over the world, because under normal circumstances it is extremely difficult to obtain this,” Dr. Langley said.
