Jennifer Aniston’s romance with Jim Curtis has reportedly divided her inner circle into two camps. While the actress herself appears happier than ever, her friends are split over whether her new boyfriend’s intentions are genuine.

“Some of Jen’s friends haven’t completely warmed to Jim yet,” a source told Page Six. “They’re worried he could be an opportunist and feel that some of his behavior comes across as a little performative.”

Rumors of a romance between the star and the hypnotist, whose work Aniston had reportedly been exploring for years, first emerged in July 2025, when paparazzi photographed the pair vacationing together on the Spanish island of Mallorca. In November of that year, Aniston seemingly made their relationship official by sharing a sweet photo of the two on social media.

“Everyone adores Jen and wants nothing but the best for her,” the insider said. “At the end of the day, if she’s happy, they’re happy for her. But they’re also very protective of her and don’t want anyone taking advantage of her trusting nature. For some of them, it’s simply been difficult to fully trust him right away.”

Still, not all of Aniston’s friends are skeptical. Another source told Page Six that other members of the actress’s inner circle have warmly embraced Jim and believe the couple make a great match.

“Others absolutely love Jim and feel like he’s naturally become part of the group,” the insider said. “They haven’t seen Jen this happy in a long time, and they think she and Jim complement each other perfectly on so many levels.”

Aniston herself has previously spoken publicly about her boyfriend, describing him as “special, very down-to-earth and very kind.”
