Nicola Peltz Beckham received the Rising Star Award at the Venice Film Festival, with her husband, Brooklyn Beckham, by her side every step of the way.
Brooklyn held his wife’s hand tightly and lovingly accompanied her to the small stage in the garden of Casa Cinema Giovani.
The 31-year-old Nicola appeared visibly nervous. For the occasion, she chose an elegant black floor-length gown paired with striking emerald-and-diamond earrings.

As she accepted the award, the actress thanked her husband and family, saying they are the people who “give me the ability to reach for the stars.”
Nicola’s entire family had traveled to Venice to support her, including her billionaire businessman father, Nelson Peltz, her mother, Claudia, and her brother Bradley.
“Hi, everyone. I’m usually much more comfortable playing a character than standing in front of an audience, so please be kind to me,” Nicola admitted from the stage.

“Thank you so much for this incredible honor. Receiving an award at the Venice Film Festival is something I will carry with me throughout my entire career.”
Nicola then addressed her Prima co-star, legendary actress Faye Dunaway, who received a lifetime achievement award from the Kineo organization later that same evening.
“Faye, you have always been an inspiration to me, and having the opportunity to learn from you has been incredible,” Peltz said.

Her speech became particularly emotional when she spoke about her loved ones.
“My family is everything to me. Mom, Dad, my brothers Diesel and Brad, and Brooklyn — thank you. You always believe in me. Your support from the very beginning is what gives me the ability to reach for the stars.”
There was, however, a brief moment of confusion before the award presentation. Nicola’s name was announced five times, and at one point one of the hosts jokingly asked: “Where is our beautiful star?”
It eventually emerged that Nicola did not want to come up to receive her award until Faye Dunaway had also arrived.
Peltz began her acting career in 2006, when she was just 11 years old, appearing in the film Deck the Halls alongside Danny DeVito.
She later starred in The Last Airbender and Transformers: Age of Extinction.

Peltz’s most recent film was Lola, which received a limited theatrical release and grossed less than $1,000 worldwide.
Nicola has been married to Brooklyn Beckham, the son of David and Victoria Beckham, since April 2022.
The couple are currently at the center of a high-profile family feud involving the Beckhams. Brooklyn has effectively cut ties with his parents, saying he wants to find “peace.”
In January, he wrote on Instagram that his family had tried to undermine his relationship with Nicola.
