Singer Phoebe Bridgers sparked a beauty scandal at the Venice Film Festival. While celebrities competed to outdo one another with glamorous outfits and perfectly smooth skin, the 32-year-old singer casually showed off something most stars prefer to keep carefully hidden.

Bridgers appeared at a press conference for her new film Primetime in a striking knee-length Gucci skirt. But instead of perfectly smooth skin, photographers spotted… natural body hair.

The unexpected beauty move immediately caught the attention of social media users. Bridgers appeared to have no intention of apologizing for the hair on her legs — quite the opposite. She confidently posed for photographers alongside Robert Pattinson, Bokeem Woodbine and other members of the cast and crew.

And the internet exploded.

“Wait, this is literally so rare among public figures! Queen,” one X user wrote admiringly.

Julia Roberts had her own ‘scandal’

Bridgers is hardly the first celebrity to refuse to conform to Hollywood’s obsession with perfectly smooth skin.

Back in 1999, Julia Roberts made headlines after the London premiere of Notting Hill. The actress raised her arm to wave to fans — and photographers spotted her unshaved armpits.

“I raised my arm and people saw that I had hair under my arm. It was a scandal,” Roberts later recalled.

It seems that 27 years later, history is repeating itself — only this time, the focus is on Phoebe Bridgers’ legs.

While the singer embraced an effortlessly natural look at the press conference, she showed a completely different side at the film’s premiere.

Bridgers hit the red carpet in a glamorous Alexander McQueen creation. The sheer floor-length dress hugged her figure and offered a revealing glimpse of her underwear.
