Goyard has completely redefined the expression “a dog’s life.” Once associated with hardship, deprivation and endless toil, it can now mean something entirely different: living in a personal 21-kilogram mansion decked out in Goyard’s signature aesthetic.
The French luxury house has unveiled the Niche GM, a lavish indoor enclosure for dogs that looks more like a miniature country home or one of the brand’s iconic travel trunks. Measuring 77 × 68 × 77 centimeters, the structure features a roof, two windows, a removable door and a double-layer felt mattress.

Inside this four-legged “mansion,” small and medium-sized dogs have plenty of room to move around before retreating to their own private space whenever they please.
The Niche GM is crafted from Goyard’s signature black Goyardine canvas combined with brown Clamecy leather, designed to closely resemble the brand’s classic travel luggage. Even the smallest details reflect Goyard’s signature craftsmanship: palladium-finished hardware, leather “gendarme” handles, leather trim and studded leather corners.
Through the small windows, pets can keep an eye on their surroundings, while the removable door allows them to leave their miniature palace and return whenever they wish.
Comfort has also been taken seriously. Inside, there is a double-layer felt mattress, while the walls are finished with a yellow monochrome coated canvas designed for easy maintenance. Keeping it clean is simple — the surface can be wiped down with a damp cloth and a small amount of soap.
And this is far from the first time Goyard has ventured into the world of pampered pets.

The brand’s tradition of creating accessories for animals dates back to the 1890s. It was then that Edmond Goyard sold accessories for dogs, cats and even monkeys, giving rise to the Le Chic du Chien line.
More than 130 years later, Goyard has essentially returned to its roots — only now, the level of pet pampering has reached an entirely different level.
Made in France, the Niche GM is a genuine designer “home” for four-legged aristocrats, styled after the French house’s famous travel trunks. And the price is equally extravagant: the luxury dog house is officially listed at around $49,000.
It seems that for the most pampered pets, “living like a dog” now means living better than most people.
