Sheer, Daring, Sexy: Kim Kardashian Unveils Provocative New SKIMS Collection

11:39, October 1

Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS is pushing the boundaries of its signature aesthetic with an even more provocative edge. The entrepreneur has teamed up with French designer Ludovic de Saint Sernin to create a limited-edition collection that brings together the designer’s signature sensuality and SKIMS’ instantly recognizable style.

For the duo, the collaboration is something of a return to their roots. Kardashian was among the early admirers of de Saint Sernin’s work, wearing his designs back when the Paris-based label was just beginning to gain international recognition. Now, several years later, their longstanding connection has evolved into a full-fledged collection.

The designer’s signature touches are evident throughout the line: sheer fabrics, intricate lacing and figure-hugging silhouettes that accentuate the body while leaving something to the imagination. Dresses and separates come in SKIMS’ familiar muted, tonal palette, pairing revealing details with more understated, minimalist shapes.

For the collection, de Saint Sernin drew on the aesthetics that have long inspired his work, including 1990s glamour, nightlife and various subcultures. He also found inspiration in Kardashian’s own fashion history.

The result is a wardrobe built unapologetically around the body, infused with the unmistakable spirit of nightlife. The campaign was photographed by Steven Klein, whose dramatic imagery amplifies the collection’s bold mood and highlights its delicate balance between sensuality and restraint.

“I’ve long admired the confidence and authenticity with which he approaches design. Together, we’ve created a collection that feels sophisticated, inspiring and completely true to both of our visions,” Kardashian said of the collaboration.

The collection will launch on October 1 on the SKIMS website and at select retail locations.
