Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian nearly fell out for good after the older sister revealed Kim’s secret marriage to their mother. The family feud erupted after Kim secretly tied the knot at just 19.

Kourtney recalled the incident in a new episode of The Kardashians.

The conversation came up while she was talking to her stepdaughter, Alabama Barker, who had described a conflict with her brother, Landon. Hearing the story, Kourtney shared an experience of her own involving a family fallout.

The 47-year-old reality star said she learned about Kim’s marriage not from her sister, but from friends. In 2000, 19-year-old Kim secretly married music producer Damon Thomas, who was around 29 at the time. The couple tied the knot in Las Vegas without telling their family.

Later, their mother, Kris Jenner, told Kourtney that a nail technician had congratulated her on Kim’s marriage. Kourtney decided to confirm her mother’s suspicions and told her the truth.

Kim’s reaction was explosive. According to Kourtney, her younger sister accused her of ruining her life. The two then went without speaking to each other for a full four weeks.

Kim’s marriage to Thomas lasted until 2004. She went on to marry twice more: basketball player Kris Humphries and rapper Kanye West, with whom she shares four children.

In recent years, Kim and Kourtney’s relationship has repeatedly made headlines. The sisters clashed over work schedules in 2018, and their feud escalated into a physical altercation while filming the show in 2020.

Despite their very public arguments, the sisters remain part of the same family reality series. However, the story of Kim’s secret wedding shows that tensions between them began long before their most widely publicized clashes in recent years.
