“I Did Everything He Wanted”: Hugh Hefner’s Widow Accuses Playboy Founder of Rape and Incest, Revealing Shocking Details of Life in the Mansion

19:34, October 28

Crystal Hefner, the widow of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, has opened up about disturbing incidents that she says took place behind the closed doors of the famous mansion. In an interview on the Lisa Guerrero Unleashed podcast, she accused her late husband of sexual abuse and described acts she considers coercive and degrading.

One of her most distressing memories involves twin sisters Kristina and Karissa Shannon, who lived at the Playboy Mansion and appeared on the reality show The Girls Next Door. According to Crystal, Hefner tried to force the sisters to engage in sexual contact with each other, physically pushing their heads toward one another.

“That’s incest. It’s disgusting,” she said, recalling the incident.

Crystal also described sexual practices that she claims Hefner pressured women into. She mentioned sex toys that, according to the widow, appeared dirty, and recounted rough treatment that left her in physical pain.

Host Lisa Guerrero directly asked Crystal whether she believed her husband had raped her. In response, Crystal explained that for a long time, she agreed to everything Hefner demanded of her, including in their intimate life.

“I really did everything he wanted. If it involved sex, I just did what he wanted,” she admitted.

According to Crystal, their relationship lacked the kind of intimacy typically associated with a couple’s sex life. She said that after sex, Hefner would fall asleep, leaving her alone with physical pain and emotional distress. After hearing her account, Guerrero described the experience as rape, and Crystal agreed with that characterization.

Representatives for the Shannon sisters had not responded to Page Six’s request for comment at the time of publication. Hugh Hefner died in September 2017 at the age of 91 and is unable to respond to the allegations.

This is not the first time Crystal has publicly spoken about the difficult experiences she says she endured during her marriage. In her 2024 memoir, Only Say Good Things: Surviving Playboy and Finding Myself, she described life at the mansion as an environment of control and pressure. According to Crystal, Hefner interfered in her everyday life, including attempting to control her weight and clothing.

In early October, Crystal also reached out to actress Jessica Biel, who is set to portray a fictionalized version of Hefner’s wife in the film Playmates. She urged the actress to reconsider participating in the project if the story were to romanticize the Playboy founder and his circle.

Crystal married Hefner in 2012 and remained with him until his death. She is now speaking out more frequently about what she alleges took place during their marriage and behind the walls of a mansion that for decades symbolized glamour and sexual freedom.
