Rihanna and Francis Kurkdjian discover the notes behind the new J’adore Intense
Rihanna and Francis Kurkdjian, Perfume Creative Director at Parfums Christian Dior, go behind the scenes to explore the notes that make up the new J’adore Intense.
In a series of new videos posted on Dior’s Instagram account, the singer and the French-Armenian perfumer are seen smelling different fragrance notes, as Rihanna tries to guess each one.

The music superstar is the face and muse of the new fragrance.
Dior launched J’adore Intense in 2026, with Rihanna serving as the global muse and face of the fragrance. Created by Francis Kurkdjian, the new perfume is a warmer, richer and more voluptuous interpretation of the iconic J’adore floral bouquet.
Kurkdjian developed the composition around a honeyed floral concept, bringing together jasmine, rose and ylang-ylang, with fruity apricot accents and a creamy base of sandalwood and vanilla.

In the interview with The Glass Magazine, Francis Kurkdjian had explained that Rihanna inspired him to create a fragrance embodying confident, liberated and sensual femininity. He wanted to give the traditional J’adore floral bouquet more curves, warmth and volume.
