The story of David Geffen and Donovan Michaels may be far from over. The 83-year-old media mogul, whose fortune is estimated in the billions, has reportedly been spending time with his 33-year-old ex-husband just months after their high-profile divorce was finalized.

According to Page Six, the two men were spotted together aboard Geffen's superyacht, Rising Sun, in October. Sources told the publication that they looked “as if they were back together.” Neither the billionaire nor Michaels has publicly commented on the reported reunion.

Their relationship began long before they tied the knot. According to media reports, Geffen and Michaels met on the dating website Seeking Arrangements in 2016. They married in 2023, but by May 2025, the billionaire had filed for divorce.

After their split, the relationship took a much darker turn. In July 2025, Michaels filed a lawsuit accusing his former husband of sexual, emotional and financial exploitation. He alleged that Geffen pressured him to undergo cosmetic procedures, including painful laser hair removal, and encouraged him to use illegal drugs. According to Michaels, their conflict escalated after he decided to seek treatment and give up drugs.

Geffen denied the allegations, while his attorney described the lawsuit as “pathetic.” In October 2025, Michaels withdrew his complaint, and a month later, the parties reached a confidential settlement. Their divorce was officially finalized in April 2026.

Now, the former spouses have been spotted together again — this time aboard a lavish yacht. The approximately 138-meter Rising Sun was previously owned by Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison. Its amenities include a cinema, swimming pool, spa and even a basketball court.

After months of legal battles and mutual accusations, the pair appear to have entered a new chapter in their complicated relationship. Whether this signals a reconciliation or was simply a friendly encounter remains unclear.
