A bride sparked an outrageous row after demanding that her best friend gain more than 120 pounds (54kg) so she could look like the slimmest woman at her own wedding. The bizarre story has gone viral, with thousands of social media users rallying behind the woman who shared her experience, the New York Post reports.

A woman named Jackie, who posts on TikTok under the handle @Jackie.o436, described how her friend Nikki invited her to dinner and asked her to be a bridesmaid at her wedding, scheduled for December.

But what began as an exciting invitation quickly turned into a list of shocking demands.

According to Jackie, Nikki first insisted that she visit a beautician twice a week to get rid of her acne. The bride-to-be claimed the breakouts would ruin the wedding photos and said she was not willing to pay extra for retouching. If Jackie refused, she would not be allowed to be a bridesmaid.

She was also expected to pay for her own wedding dress.

But the most outrageous demand was yet to come: Nikki wanted Jackie to gain around 120 pounds (54kg) over the next few months so that the bride would remain the thinnest woman at the wedding.

“I can’t have you outshining me on my special day. I want to be the skinniest bitch at this wedding,” Nikki allegedly declared.

According to Jackie, the bride herself weighed just 90 pounds (41kg).

When Jackie suggested that Nikki could simply lose some weight instead, the bride burst into tears and accused her friend of trying to ruin her wedding. According to the Daily Dot, Nikki had already crossed her own sister off the guest list after she refused to comply with a similar demand.

The bizarre list of rules reportedly did not end there. Nikki also wanted Jackie to crouch during the wedding entrance so the bride would appear to be the tallest woman at the celebration.

When Jackie finally protested and refused to go along with the demands, an enraged Nikki allegedly threw a plate of spaghetti in her face. She then called Jackie a failure for not having a successful love life and accused her of being jealous of the upcoming wedding.

Unable to take any more humiliation, Jackie walked out of the restaurant — after paying the bill for both of them.

“I’m never going to another wedding again,” she declared.

The story sparked outrage on TikTok, with users expressing sympathy for Jackie and disbelief at the bride’s behavior.

“Sorry, what did she just do?!” one commenter wrote.

“I’m so sorry you had to go through that,” another added.

“Good Lord, where do people even find friends like this?” a third asked.

One user joked: “Now I understand where the plot of the movie Obsession came from,” referring to the 2025 horror film by Curry Barker, whose antagonist is also named Nikki.
