Jessica Simpson, 46, is enjoying a romantic renaissance. Following her painful split from husband Eric Johnson, the singer has found happiness with 33-year-old Nashville musician Thomas Eisenhood. According to sources close to the couple, their relationship is heating up, and Simpson is embracing what one insider describes as a “new, sexier chapter” of her life, the Daily Mail reports.

Simpson has never hidden her attraction to younger men. At the premiere of All’s Fair in fall 2025, she openly admitted that she was now drawn to younger partners, adding that they seemed particularly attracted to the confidence of mature women.

Her comments proved prophetic. By spring 2026, she was reportedly spending time with Eisenhood, who is 13 years her junior. The couple made their first public appearance together in October at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, although they have yet to share photos together on social media.

“Thomas is a true Southern gentleman who takes very good care of her. He has old-fashioned manners and treats her with tremendous respect,” a source told the Daily Mail.

According to the insider, Eisenhood has not only won Simpson over with his Southern charm but has also become an important source of creative inspiration. He helps her work on new music, and the two share a love of music and a rather cheeky sense of humor.

The couple even have a playful nickname for him: Simpson calls her boyfriend “Saxy” — a cheeky blend of “sexy” and “sax,” referring to his instrument of choice. Eisenhood is a professional saxophone player who spent 11 years performing with New Orleans band Stoop Kids. After the group went on an indefinite hiatus, he worked as a sound engineer and tour manager in Nashville.

“They speak the same language because they’re both musicians. They share a sense of humor that’s sexy and a little eccentric,” the source said.

The insider added that Simpson’s ex-husband, Eric Johnson, did not share her passion for music, while Eisenhood understands her creative ambitions. Her new relationship has reportedly helped her feel attractive, energized and inspired again.

After a 17-year break from releasing singles, Simpson returned to music in 2025 with two independently released EPs, Nashville Canyon, Part 1 and Part 2. In 2026, she embarked on a seven-date summer tour. Next year, she plans to expand her touring schedule and is reportedly hoping to take Eisenhood along.

The singer appears determined to make the most of her new chapter. She recently posed for a provocative campaign for her fashion brand before surprising fans with a dramatic makeover, swapping her signature blonde locks for a rich chocolate-brown shade.

According to the source, the transformation is part of a broader personal reinvention. Simpson is reportedly following a detox program, working out daily and paying close attention to her skincare routine.

“Earlier in Jessica’s career, other people made all the decisions for her. Now she chooses what she wants for herself and is proud of how far she has come,” the insider concluded.
