When girls grow up, their childhood stories about frightening ghosts and demons they used to told their friends on a girls’ night transform into stories about their neighbor girls who married while being virgins, but on the first night... there was no blood! These stories, unlike the horror ones, can be true. On why this is happening and in what cases, doctor-sexologist Vrezh Shahramanyan talked to NEWS.am STYLE:

“People often do not distinguish between the concept of ‘virginity’ in the sense of ‘purity’, and virginity as an anatomical term. Each couple decides to be sexually active before marriage or not, in the end of the day, trust me, trust, harmony and fairness in family are founded not on the hymen.

There are about 20 types of hymen, which differ in thickness, location and structure. A girl can lose her virginity with both pain and traces of blood, and without them.

If it happens that the hymen does not break during the first time, in order to finally lose their virginity the girl must have several sexual contacts, and which of them will be accompanied by a small amount of bleeding is unknown.

The hymen can be different in the type and location, and also the presence or absence of blood on the sheet depends on the size of the penis. The larger the size, the greater the probability of the red spot on the bed linen.

The hymen can also be flexible. In these cases, it breaks without blood, regardless of the accompanying factors. And if your beloved has a strong hymen, then over the years, that she ‘cherished’ her for the marriage bed, it will only get stronger.

The classical hymen is a thin membrane, partially covering the vaginal opening and located at a depth of 1-3 cm. It can be easily damaged during masturbation, however, the chances of such an absurd defilement are not great.

Finally, remember that the wedding night for the girl is an exciting and a little frightening event. To ensure that all went well, you have to be more affectionate, show her attention, care and warmth. And do not judge her ‘purity’ based only on traces of blood.”
