The trailer for Ice Age: Collision Course released
The trailer for Ice Age: Collision Course was released on Tuesday, and shows squirrel Scrat blasting off into outer space as he chases his beloved acorn, Daily Mail has learned.
The squirrel falls through a crack in the ice as he tries to bury his acorn, and then stumbles into a frozen UFO spaceship before unwittingly setting off a disastrous chain reaction in the cosmos.
And the trailer seems to hint that his friends back on Earth may be facing the threat of mass extinction, just like the dinosaurs, in the new movie.
The film is the fifth in the popular Ice Age animated franchise, and reunites the cast of characters as they set out on a new quest.
Ice Age: Collision Course will be released in 3D on July 22 in the US.
