15:05, April 24

World-known actor director George Clooney, who is in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan these days, has just visited Sergei Parajanov Museum. 54-year-old actor admired Armenian film director’s art works [installations, collages, assemblages, drawings, dolls, and hats].

Earlier filmmaker, philanthropist and humanitarian Clooney visited Armenian Genocide memorial complex. He laid fresh flowers out of respect for all the people who died in the Armenian genocide. After the visit “Ocean's trilogy” star together with finalist and organizers of “Aurora Prize” photographed against backdrop of Mount Ararat.

Sergei Parajanov is one of the greatest figures of 20th-century world cinema.  His visionary films, such as “The Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors,” “Sayat-Nova,” and “The Legend of Suram Fortress,” earned him international acclaim and led to lifelong persecution by the Soviet regime.
