Dmitri Hvorostovsky and Constantine Orbelian’s album “Sviridov: Russia Cast Adrift” has been nominated as the Best Classical Solo Vocal Album.
NEWS.am STYLE contacted the famous conductor, who was at the funeral ceremony of Dmitri Hvorostovsky today. “I'm excited about this,” Orbelian said. “And it was significant that this news reached Dmitri's family on the day of his funeral. Learning the news, the family of Dmitri burst into tears.
It is remarkable that organizers of the award choose the nominees two or three months before the announcement, Dmitri deserved this recognition”. The 2018 GRAMMY Awards will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Sunday January 28.
