Los Angeles hosted the 75th Golden Globe Awards ceremony was held, which is considered to be the second Oscar, Daily Mail reported.

Actor Gary Oldman won in the category of Best Actor. Oldman was nominated for a prize for his role in the film Darkest Hour.

Tom Hanks (Post, The), Timothée Chalamet (Call Me By Your Name), Daniel Day-Lewis (Phantom Thread) and Denzel Washington (Roman J. Israel, Esq.) competed in the nomination.

Actress Frances McDormand received the Golden Globe Award for the Best Actress in the dramatic film Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.

Meryl Streep, Sally Hawkins, Jessica Chastain and Michelle Williams were among nominees.
