Golden Apricot 16th International Film Festival kicked off in Yerevan on Sunday.

The red carpet was held this year at Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex.

IFF kicked off with movie “Parasite” by Joon-ho Bong (South Korea).

”We are very glad to open the festival with such a prestigious film,” said director of Golden Apricot Hasmik Hovhannisyan.

The International Film Festival has received over 740 applications from different countries. It has selected a number of films from prestigious international film festivals such as the festivals in Cannes, Berlin, Rotterdam, for the program. The festival will have feature films, as well as short regional film contests;
