Yerevan on Friday is bidding its last farewell to renowned Armenian singer and songwriter Hayko (Hayk Hakobyan).
The well-know musician passed away Wednesday at the age of 48.
He had health problems related to the coronavirus and was in hospital for several days.
In 1996, Hayko had placed first at the 96th Moscow Music Festival. In 1997, he became the winner of the Big Apple Festival in New York. In 2007, he represented Armenia at the Eurovision Song Contest, with the song "Anytime you need," placing eighth. And in 2016, he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Armenia.
