Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing has released a collection of clothes created especially for Barbie.
It includes over 50 unisex items that divide the gender lines between Barbie and Ken styles.
The full release will take place on January 13th, WWD reported.
“It’s not only the dream of a designer, it’s a dream of a kid, you know?” he says, adding that as a kid he was told not to play with the dolls. “That I can create a collection with Barbie today shows how the world has changed, and how good it feels to be free with yourself without being judged.”
The collection features tweed suits, dresses with Balmain monograms and Swarovski stones, denim jackets and jackets with gold buttons, sweaters, overalls, bags, and evening dresses. The cost of things ranges from $ 295 to $ 24,494.
