The Golden Globe 2022 award ceremony will not be broadcast live, Deadline reported, citing a representative of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA). According to him, the event will be private.
The information about the laureates will be published in real-time on the film awards website and social networks. The final results of the award ceremony will be announced in a press release.
The Golden Globe award has been given every year since 1944. It is handed over by the Foreign Press Association, which includes 90 international journalists working in Hollywood. The event is usually broadcast by NBC, but in May 2021 the company announced that it would not do so in 2022 because the jury did not adequately reflect the diversity of American society.
