The British Film Academy BAFTA has announced its list of nominees for 2022. This year the films The Power of the Dog, Licorice Pizza, Dune, Belfast and Don't Look Up will compete for the title of best film, Deadline reported.

The Best British Film category includes Belfast, Cyrano, House of Gucci, Last Night in Soho, After Love, Ali and Ava, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie and Boiling Point. Aleem Khan, Ryusuke Hamaguchi, Audrey Couch, Paul Thomas Anderson, Jane Campion and Julia Ducournau are eligible for the Best Director award. The rest of the nominees can be found on the Academy's official website.

Last year's BAFTA winners included director Chloe Zhao and actress Frances McDormand for Nomadland, Anthony Hopkins for the title role in Florian Zeller's The Father, the animated film Soul and Emerald Fennell's Promising Young Woman.
