Queen Elizabeth II has announced that she wants Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, to receive the title of Queen Consort when Prince Charles becomes king, BBC News reported.

In a message on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of her reign, the queen stated that she sincerely wants Camila to receive the title when the time comes.

The Queen's message, which is dedicated to the accession to the throne in 1952, directly addresses the unresolved issue of the future title of Duchess of Cornwall.

Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall were reportedly flattered by the Queen's words.

Elizabeth II hosted a reception on February 5 in Sandringham on the anniversary of her enthronement.  The reception at Sandringham Palace has become the largest public event the Queen has attended since her reception at Windsor Castle.

February 6, 2022 marks the 70th anniversary of the enthronement of Elizabeth II. Her father, King George VI, died that day. The Queen is the first monarch in the history of Great Britain to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee.
