Amazon Studios has unveiled the first footage of "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power," a series based on John Tolkien's universe, the footage was published by Vanity Fair.

In the pictures you can see what the elven lord Galadriel, princess Disa and the healer Bronwyn will look like. Other elf characters Elrond and Arrondir are also shown. The series will also show the creation of the Rings of All Power, the rise of Sauron the Lord of Darkness, the saga of Númenor, and the dramatic events of the last alliance between humans and elves.

"Until now, audiences have only seen on-screen the story of the One Ring – but before there was one, there were many … and we’re excited to share the epic story of them all," the showrunners added.

The movie is set to premiere on September 2.
