Tinder Swindler Sued by Lev Leviev's Family

10:29, March 2

The family of Israeli businessman Lev Leviev, also called the "King of Diamonds," filed a lawsuit against the fraudster Simon Leviev (real name - Shimon Yehuda Hayut), E! News reported yesterday.

"Shimon Hayut is a fraud who stole our family's identity and has tried to exploit our good name to con victims out of millions of dollars," she said in a statement to E! News on Feb 28. "He has no relation to the Leviev family and has no affiliation with our company LLD Diamonds," the lawsuit cited by the newspaper reads.

Chagit Leviev, Lev Leviev's daughter, said that the multimillion-dollar lawsuit was aimed at ensuring that Shimon Hayut "face justice and get the sentence he deserves."

The Netflix streaming service has released a documentary, Tinder Swindler, about Shimon Hayut, who posed as Simon Leviev on the dating app Tinder. The man, who claimed to be the son of a millionaire, communicated with women from different countries and managed to fraudulently obtain about $10 million from them under the pretext of a loan.
