FBI reveals Baldwin's shooting on Rust set was no accident

09:09, August 14

Actor Alec Baldwin's shooting on the Rust set, which killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and seriously injured director Joel Souza, was no accident., ABC News channel reported referring to the data of the report of the FBI forensic medical examination.

The document noted that the firearm used in the shooting (a 45 caliber F.lli Pietta revolver) could not be fired without pulling the trigger. The working internal components of the revolver were not damaged.

However, in an interview with ABC News in December, Baldwin said he did not pull the trigger.

His lawyers also said that the actor was convinced that he was using a pistol with blanks. Baldwin's powers in making the film were limited to approving script revisions and choosing actors, and violations in the selection of weapons were not within his competence, the experts concluded.
