Queen release unpublished 1988 song with Freddie Mercury on vocals

14:11, October 14

The British rock band Queen has released a song called "Face It Alone," based on a 1988 Freddie Mercury demo recording. The song was created while the musicians were working on the album "The Miracle," TASS reported.

In an interview, Queen band members Brian May and Roger Taylor said that they did not believe in the possibility of restoring the old recording, but they were pleasantly surprised by the touching result of the resulting song. "We’d kind of forgotten about this track,” says Roger Taylor, “but there it was, this little gem. It’s wonderful, a real discovery. It’s a very passionate piece.”

The track "Face It Alone" will be included on Queen's upcoming album, in which listeners will also be presented with recordings of the musicians' dialogues.

Queen frontman Freddie Mercury died on November 24, 1991. Despite this, the band continues to exist. In addition to May and Taylor, the new lineup includes Paul Rodgers and Adam Lambert.
