Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the Egyptian gods - and imprisoned just as quickly - Black Adam is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.

"Black Adam" turned out to be quite a good film adaptation about a new hero of the DC universe, there is a character here that is interesting to watch, even if his story is filled with cliches here and there, but nevertheless it does not annoy while watching, and this is an undoubted advantage.

The movie turned out to be dynamic, bright, with humor… All the fights, shootouts, and flights are cool. There is no cartoonishness here, the soundtrack successfully complements the action, which in turn was moderately brutal.

Not to say that "Black Adam" was very surprised by something, but in general it turned out quite well, the audience will not leave the cinema disappointed.

What is interesting about this hero as a character?

He's an antihero.

Yes, surprisingly, the screenwriters were able to write Black Adam as an antihero, although sometimes there was not enough drama.

Finally, Dwayne was given the role of a superhero, and then in "Fast and Furious" his indestructibility was, well, too illogical. But here everything is in situ.

Johnson has been working on the character for many years and it is clear that he managed to embody exactly the image he aspired to. "The Rock" is brutal and cool in this image and most importantly, it attracts the attention of the audience to itself and to its history.

Pierce Brosnan, Kent Nelson /Dr. Faith: Pierce turned out to be a very colorful character. The hero has become an example of sophistication, and delicacy and there is little to surprise him with.

How can it be  without cons?

The film is full of flaws in the script, it has three huge plot holes the size of a multi-storey building. One at the beginning, the second in the middle, and the third at the end.

Also, from the shortcomings, you can single out a disgusting villain.

Finally…

In general, it turned out well. Yes, the script as always leaves much to be desired, but the brutal image of Dwayne Johnson, the charisma and sophistication of Pierce Brosnan, the cool action and the beautiful effects do not allow the film to fall below a certain level.
