'Back To The Future' Star Fox gets honorary Oscars

Back to the Future star Michael J. Fox has received the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award, presented by the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for individual contributions to the cause of humanism. The ceremony took place on November 20,  The Variety reported.

"You're making me shake, stop it," joked Fox as he received a standing ovation, before describing his award as "a wholly unexpected honor."

In 2020, Michael J. Fox revealed that he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease 20 years ago, which severely affected his short-term memory. According to Fox, as he got older it became more difficult for him to remember lines for filming.
