Balenciaga has officially been announced as a partner of the National Children’s Alliance (NCA). This is reported on the social media of this French fashion house.
“Balenciaga and the Kering Foundation announce a partnership with National Children’s Alliance (NCA). (…). Support from Balenciaga will enable NCA to train nearly 2,000 professionals specialized in child abuse and up to an estimated 55,000 children will benefit by receiving evidence-based mental healthcare over the three-year program,” Balenciaga noted.
The statement adds that this cooperation will make it easier for child abuse survivors to use this partnership's medical assistance, will enable adults to educate children on how to protect themselves from child abuse, and inform the public about this problem.
The aforesaid partnership program was launched after Balenciaga was accused of promoting child abuse at the end of last year.
All this happened because of an ad campaign in which children were filmed holding teddy bears in bondage gear.
