Hollywood legend Cher has no intention of marrying her new beau Alexander Edwards.

The 76-year-old hitmaker made headlines after she began an affair with Edwards, who is 40 years younger than her. The pair were first spotted together in November 2022, and their romance has been gaining momentum ever since. And recently, Edwards gave Cher a diamond ring.

"They are very much in love," a source told PEOPLE, adding that the couple were inseparable during the party leading up to the Grammy Awards. They held hands all night and kissed a lot, the source added. They're not talking about marriage or anything like that, but they are very passionate about each other. "Cher likes that he's young," he said.

The new love has also been a comfort to the singer as she has experienced the painful loss of her mother, Georgia Holt, who died at the age of 96 late last year. It helped ease the pain of loss, a music industry source recently told PEOPLE magazine.

As for the ring Edwards gave Cher for Christmas, it was the perfect gift to help her through this bittersweet time, the source added.
