The Devil Wears Prada stars Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Emily Blunt reunited at the 18 SAG Awards to present the award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series—which ultimately went to Jeremy Allen White for his role in Bear.
It all started when Streep, who plays cutthroat editor Miranda Priestly in the 2006 comedy, took the stage at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles and nearly tripped over a microphone. She told the crowd that she forgot two things—her glasses and the envelope announcing the winner.
Blunt and Hathaway then joined her on stage, each holding one of the forgotten objects, embodying the roles of personal assistants Emily Charlton and Andy Sachs, respectively. “This is an age-old question. Where does the actor end and the character begin?” Streep began her speech, but Blunt interjected: “Well, as we just saw, Meryl and Miranda Priestly are like twins.”
Streep chuckled and shook her head before answering, "I don't think I'm anything like Miranda Priestly." "No, no, that wasn't a question," Hathaway noted, to which Streep deadpanned before beginning to open the envelope.
